PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of head position shift and off-track, by arranging almost symmetrically a head fitting lever and a driving lever around a pivot shaft to make the center of gravity of the mechanism coincident with its rotating center. CONSTITUTION:The pivot shaft 12 is supported freely rotatably to a base via a bearing 13, a flexible arm 14 is fixed thereto, and a head block assembly 30 is fitted to the arm 14. Both ends of the arm 14 and an arm support 15 are linked with a steel belt 17 wound once on a rotary shaft of a stepper motor 18 and screwed. When the motor 18 is driven, the arm 14 and the assembly 30 are turned with winding and supply of the belt 17 to shift the head. Thus, since the entire mechanism is arranged almost symmetrically to the rotating center, the generation of position shift of the head and off-track is prevented. |
