PURPOSE:To prevent the concentration of loads to a limited part of a testing sample, by putting one end of the sample between half cut drums and, at the same time, winding the sample around the peripheral surface of the central cylindrical part of the drums, and then, supporting the half cut drums at their both ends by the main body of a gripping tool so that the drums cannot be turned. CONSTITUTION:One end of a sample 6 is put between half cut drums 1 and 2 and wound several turns around peripheral surfaces 1a and 2a at the central parts of the drums 1 and 2 after the one end is temporarily clamped by a spring 8 of a sample temporarily clamping mechanism. The drums 1 and 2 are inserted into a supporting groove 5 of each leg section 4 of a main body 3 of a gripping tool and their rectangular peripheral surfaces 1b and 2b are fitted to the groove 5, and then, a pin 9 is pushed against the drums 1 and 2 by means of a spring 10 of a drum tying mechanism. In addition to the above, movement of the drums 1 and 2 in the direction of their length is prevented by installing flanges 1c and 2c to the drums 1 and 2. |
