PURPOSE:To make a normal/error decision depending upon whether an addition value is a multiple of a set value or not by dividing the unit numeral of each digit by the set value and regarding the remainder as a weight code to the digit, multiplying the numeral of each digit of an input number by the corresponding weight code, and summing up the products. CONSTITUTION:The remainder obtained by a unit numeral 10i-1 by the set value (e.g. 3) is regarded as a weight code Wi to the digit and the obtained code is stored in a weight code storage part 303. Data A stored in a register 2 is stored in a shift register 301 while divided into respective digits Di. A check digit D1 (the least significant digit of data) is set in a discriminator 3-6. Numerals Di of respective digits other than the digit D1 are inputted to a multiplier 3-2 successively. The multiplier 3-2 reads weight codes wi corresponding to the numerals Di of the respective digits out of the storage part 3-3 and multiplies Di by Wi. The weighting results of the respective digits by the multiplier 3-2 are inputted to an adder 3-4 successively to obtain the total, which is divided by the set value M by a divider to input the remainder R to the discriminator 3-6. The discrimintor 3-6 makes the normal/error decision on the data. |
