<p>A recording and/or reproducing apparatus for a disc (5), the apparatus comprising a cover (7) movably mounted on a main body (1) of the apparatus and movable between a first open position and a second closed position, a disc presser (8) operatively mounted on the cover (7) to co-operate with a spindle unit of a disc table (3) for holding the disc (5), a holder (12) movably attached to the cover (7) to limit lateral movement of the disc presser (8), and control means (13,15) for controlling the holder (12) to permit the lateral movement of the disc presser (8) when the cover (7) is in the closed position. </p> |
