Television tube components and their manufacture are disclosed. A collector printing process is used for applying phosphor compounds with associated black background to the inner face of the television tube panel (30). An offset printing process is used for printing an acid resist ink on both sides of an aperture mask (110) after it has been formed into an approximate spherical or cylindrical shape. Masks and panels are disclosed which are interchangeable during tube manufacture.
