<p>PURPOSE:To reduce buffer capacity greatly by providing VRUs (audio output controller) for 16 channels with buffers for three channels. CONSTITUTION:An audio output request table 9, an audio output data editing part 10, and VRU buffers 6-0-6-15 for 3 channels corresponding to VURs 7-0- 7-15 are provided. The table 9 has 32-byte capacity so that one bit is assigned to one channel and the remainders are assigned to the respective VRUs; when there is an audio output request, a bit corresponding to the request is turned on. The editing part 10 looks up the table 9 to check whether there is the audio output request or not while bits corresponding to channels of the VRUs 7-0-7-15 are regarded as units. Audio data up to 3 channels are edited for the request channel and set in the buffer of the corresponding VRU from a processing part 5 to be transferred to the VRU.</p> |
