PURPOSE:To carry out the control of fuel injection with a high degree of accuracy, by urging a solenoid valve normally into the position where the fuel introduction port of a control valve chamber is closed, under spring force, and by changing over the solenoid valve into the position where the discharge port of the conical valve chamber is closed, when a solenoid coil is energized. CONSTITUTION:When the introduction port 77 of a conical valve chamber 40 is closed and the valve discharge port 103 thereof is opened by a valve 71 which is lowered by a spring 108 as a coil 7 is deenergized, fuel is discharged from a return pipe 123, and a valve 30 is raised by fuel pressure in a fuel chamber 39 to open an inflow port 64. Therefore, fuel in the fuel chamber 39 is introduced in a servo-piston chamber 31 to lower a piston 27, and a valve 45 is closed by fuel pressure when a plunger 26 is lowered, so that fuel pressure in an oil storing chamber 11 abruptly rises. As a result, a valve 2 is opened, and therefore fuel in a plunger chamber 32 is injected from an injection port 10 through a passage 12. When the plunger 26 is lowered to the position of upper limit, fuel pressure in the oil storing chamber 11 drops and the valve 2 is closed by a spring 7 and as well fuel pressure in a fitting hole 6 to complete an fuel injection. |
