PURPOSE:To provide a bearing material having excellent abrasion resistance, and enabling the low-friction operation at medium or high speed under lubricated condition, by binding amorphous metal powder and powder of solid lubricant selected from graphite, molybdenum disulfide, and tungsten disulfide using a plastic material as a binder. CONSTITUTION:The objective material can be prepared by mixing (A) powder of an amorphous metal (preferably an amorphous alloy having a Vickers hardness of >=800 and a crystallization temperature of >=300 deg.C, e.g. Fe80B20, Fe80Mo2B18, etc. having a particle diameter of 1-10mu), (B) powder of one or more solid lubricants selected from graphite, molybdenum disulfide and tungsten disulfide (preferably having a particle diameter of 1-10mu), and (C) a plastic binder (e.g. tetrafluoroethylene resin, polyimide resin, polyphenylene sulfide resin, etc.), at a weight ratios (A:B:C) of e.g. (10-50):(5-40):(45-85). |
