PURPOSE:To prevent collision of a package with another package already existing on a conveyer so as to easily automate a spinning machine, in which only a single conveyer for transporting the package is provided in the central part of a machine bed, when doffing work is performed by an automatic doffing machine from both sides of the machine bed. CONSTITUTION:A number of spinning units 11 are arranged on both sides of the bed of a spinning machine, and a conveyer 17 for transporting packages is provided in the upper central part. Running rails 19 are arranged along the periphery of the base of the spinning machine, and an automatic doffing machine 20 goes round along the rail 19. A pressing roller 24 for pushing out fully loaded packages P is equipped in the bottom part of the automatic doffing machine 20, while a reflective photoelectric device 25 inspecting existence of the fully loaded packages P is provided on the upper part of said machine 20. When the automatic doffing machine 20 arrives at a position corresponding to a fully loaded spindle, doffing work is performed by the doffing machine 20 if no packages P is existent on the conveyer 17 while the doffing work is reserved if any packages P is existent, and the conveyer 17 is moved by the length of a prescribed pitch of a spinning spindle, deciding whether or not the doffing work is performed. |
