PURPOSE:To attain the reading of color picture with a monochromic image sensor, by separating the color of light from a white light source and irradiating respectively each color light on a plane of an original. CONSTITUTION:The light from the white light source 6 is led to a rotary mirror 10 turned around a shaft 9 in the arrow. Then, the light 11 reflected on the mirror 10 is irradiated on the plane of the original 1. The mirror 10 is formed with color filters 23a-23c on a reflecting plane coating three surfaces of, e.g., a prism base 21 coated with light reflecting films 22a-22c. The filters 23a-23c have the wavelength of, e.g., the three primary colors of red, green and blue and the transmittancy having respectively a peak. In leading a light 7 from the white light source 6 to the mirror 10 of the construction like this, the light 7 is color- separated in time division as red, green and blue sequentially attended with the turning of the mirror 10 and irradiated on the plane of the original 1. The reflected light on the plane of the original 1 is formed on a photosensitive segment 5 on the sensor 3 to read the color picture. |
