METHOD OF MANUFACTURING SOLENOID CLUTCH AND BRAKE MOVABLE PLATE

PURPOSE:To increase the binding force of a friction material to a clutch ring by using a complex of a capsule containing lubricating oil and a friction base material as a resoftening thermoplastic resin to eliminate uneven impregnation of oil or grease to the friction material. CONSTITUTION:A capsule containing lubricating oil having a shell of a thermoplastic resin which can be softened again by heat, a soft porous substance forming a complex with the capsule and a binder for binding the capsule and the substance to be complexed are mixed and heated and compressed in a metal mold. Heating causes the binder to start polymerizing hardening and generate heat to raise the viscosity thereof, so that the binder is hardened. While the temperature rises considerably at this time, the capsule will not be broken by softening and thermal expansion. When the complex is heated more than the softening temperatue of the capsule after the complex is secured to a clutch ring by adhesives, lubricating oil leaks outside of the capsule to provide a friction base material where oil is uniformly impregnated.
