METHOD FOR TARGET COMBATTING BY MEANS OF PASSIVE PROJECTILES AND A FIRING SYSTEM FOR CARRYING OUT THE METHOD

A method and a firing system for combatting a target by firing of explosive projectiles having homing devices or proximity fuses operating with reception of electromagnetic energy. In order to achieve an increased accuracy of aim with use of simple control circuits the homing devices and the proximity fuses, respectively are made passive, i.e. purely receiving, and with regular intervals in the burst of fire a transmitting projectile is fired, which illuminates the target with electromagnetic energy.
