PURPOSE:To detect no-water by providing a temperature detector in pump casing to detect that the temperature difference between the flow-in water and casing has exceeded over predetermined product. CONSTITUTION:A temperature detector 5 is provided in the casing of a pump 3 placed between a suction pipe 1 and delivery pipe 2. In place of detection of water flow, temperature rise of pump casing under no-water state is detected to detect no-water correctly. In other word, energy provided to the pump shaft is entirely consumed for stirring liquid in the casing to increase temperature of casing. |
