PURPOSE:To prevent a tansferred material from floating up, in order to simplify the positioning of the material, by providing such an arrangement that there is provided, below a belt tormed with a several number of holes, a plurality of small boxes which are communicated with absorbing and blowing devices, so that the blowing and the absorbing may be successively changed over along with the transfer of the material. CONSTITUTION:When the positioning of a material to be transferred is made upon starting of the transfer, a valve on the side of a blowing device 12 is opened to blow out air from holes 6 in a belt 5 through holes 9 in a box 7 so that the transferred material floats up. After the positioning is completed, this valve is closed, and a valve on the absorbing side of small chambers 8 at the front end of a conveyor is opened to evacuate the small chambers 8 so that the transferred material is absorbed to the belt 5 through the holes in the belt 5. The positions of the boxes 8 which are evacuated are automatically changed over together with the movement of the belt 5. With this arrangement, the transferred material are conveyed while the material is absorbed to the belt, and therefore, is prevented from floating up. |
