A sun visor for a motor vehicle which includes a courtesy mirror, is made by moulding a foam inside a two-part outer skin, the process comprising fixing one of the skin parts 1 to a thermoplastic sheet 6 whose dimensions approximate those of the mirror 4, by high frequency welding along a line corresponding to the outline of the window for the mirror, cutting the skin element and sheet adjacent the welding line to form a perforated unit, placing the perforated unit on the bottom of a mould B, placing the mirror 4 on the sheet, applying a vacuum under the mirror, introducing the foam 3, positioning second skin part 2, closing the mould, and levelling the free edges of the skin elements after expansion of the foam and withdrawal of the visor from the mould. <IMAGE> |
