PURPOSE:To facilitate the identification of profile of an object from a distant position where visual recognition is unabled by plotting the reflection characteristic of an electromagnetic wave thereof determined according to measuring positions with the movement of a Doppler sensor. CONSTITUTION:An output of a Doppler sensor 2 corresponding to the intensity of a combined electric field between electromagnetic waves radiated from a Doppler sensor 2 and reflected waves thereof from a target object 1 is inputted into a mu computer 6 following an A/D conversion 5 thereof. At positions x2 to which the sensor 2 is moved during the radiation of the electromagnetic waves, the sensor 2 is displaced backward and forward along the z axis as opposed to the object 1 to measure the maximum value and the minimum value of the intensity of the electric field at each of the positions x2 and the total intensity of overall combined electric fields entering the sensor 2 ¦r(x2)¦=(Vmax- Vmin)/4k.¦t(x2)¦ is determined from these values, the intensity of radiated electric field t(x2) and a constant K. In addition, the microwave reflection characteristic of the object 1 is determined from the intensity of electric field r(x2) and antenna characteristic a(x1) of the sensor 2 and the reflection charcteristic thus obtained is plotted according to measuring positons of the sensor 2. |
