PURPOSE:To stably oscillate even if a load becomes heavy by providing means for flowing a reactive current of 90 deg. delayed in phase to the output of an inverter when a discharge lamp or the like is fired in high frequency by a constant current push-pull inverter. CONSTITUTION:A constant-current push-pull inverter which includes transistors 5, 6, an oscillating transformer 5 and a condenser 7 is connected through a constant-current inductor 3 to a power source 2, an inductance element 12 is connected to the output terminal of a transformer 4 to flow a reactive current delayed at 90 deg. in phase from the output voltage, and a power is supplied to a plurality of loads 10 made of a series circuit of a current limiting choke 8 and a discharge lamp 9. Accordingly, the current flowed to the condenser 7 is increased in response to the primary to secondary coil ratio. Accordingly, even if loads become heavy, the vibration can be maintained by increasing the vibration energy stored, thereby stabilizing the operation. |
