PURPOSE:To obtain a color image by forming on a support layer contg. at least a phoaosensitive silver halide, a hydrophilic binder, a dye-releasing aid, and a dye donor reducing an org. silver salt oxidizing agent and releasing a hydrophilic dye, and a polyethylene glycol type surfactant, and thermally transferring said dye released by thermal development to an image receiving layer contg. a mordant. CONSTITUTION:The thermodevelopable color photographic senstivie material can produce a silver image having a negative-positive relationship to an original and a diffusible dye at the positions corresponding to said silver image at the same time only by imagewise exposure and the following thermal development. The reducing dye donor releasing a hydrophilic diffusible dye has formula ( I ) in which R is a reducing moiety oxidizable with silver halide, D is a dye group having a hydrophilic group and forming a dye image, and the reducing moiety R preferably has <=1.2V oxidation reduction potential to a satd. calomel electrode in the determination of a polarographic half-wave potential using acetonitrile as a solvent and sodium perchlorate as a supporting electolyte, and exemplified by formula (II)-(IV), etc. |
