PURPOSE:To display a quick photographing property, by providing a means for setting a photographic lens within a specified position range in a non-operating state. CONSTITUTION:The light projected through a projecting lens 31 from a light emitting element 32 is reflected by an object, and is made incident to photodetectors 22a, 22b through a photodetecting lens 21. In case when a photographic lens 2 is focused on the object, the reflected light is made incident to the nearly middle of both the elements 22a, 22b, the photodetecting quantity becomes equal and the output also becomes equal. In case of a rear focus, the photodetecting quantity of the element 22a becomes larger, and its output becomes larger than that of the element 22b. Also, in case of a front focus, the photodetecting quantity of the element 22b becomes larger, and its output becomes larger than that of the element 22a. In this way, automatic focusing of the photographic lens 2 is executed by being related to the photographic lens, and controlling a motor 42 by comparison of outputs of both the elements 22a, 22b. |
