<p>The present invention relates to an automatic safety device for lawnmowers with a rotary scythe blade. The safety device is characterized by an automatic safety coupling consisting of a roller 1 for tensioning a strap 2 which serves for actuating the shaft of the blade 3, the tensioning roller being mounted on a coupling lever 4 loaded by a spring 5, which, the coupling being engaged, rests against the pick-up container 6 or against a deflection plate, and a strap brake (band brake) 7 which is joined to one end of the coupling lever 4 and partially clasps the shaft 8 of the blade 3. A manoeuvring element to be actuated from the guide bar takes care of the clamping or locking of the pick-up container 6 or of the deflection plate, the blade 3 being engaged. (Figure 1).</p> |
