<p>A display unit for a speedometer for an automobile, wherein car speed is sensed and displayed in at least two modes including a standard scale mode when car speed is above a set standard speed, and an enlarged scale mode when car speed falls below a lower set speed. The display unit includes a bar graph display, and a scale display, both of which are controlled in correspondence with car speed to operate in either the standard scale mode or the enlarged scale mode.</p> |
