EP--85521 A The slurry pump, esp. for concrete, has a drive control (68) which includes a neutral position, with the drive inoperative. The pump guard (62) prevents access to a part of the pump until opened. A cam surface is operated by guard movement from its closed position to cause the control member to adopt its neutral position, if it is not already so positioned. - The cam retains the control in this setting until the guard is returned to its closed position. The guard has an arm (74) which slides so that the control lever (68) enters a slide channel when the guard is opened. (14pp)r USAB- US4569642 A The slurry pump has a hopper containing slurry. A pumping cylinder containing a piston communicates with the hopper through the hopper wall. A delivery tube is swung into and out of register with the cylinder. Slurry is drawn into the cylinder by the piston and out through the delivery tube. - The pump is controlled by a lever which has a central neutral position and two operating positions. Dangerous moving parts are covered by a guard mounted on hinges. An arm on the guard engages a slide which has a channel. If the guard is moved from its closed position, the arm slides the slide so that the control lever enters the channel and moves to its neutral position.
