PURPOSE:A safe hair tonic having improved a tonicking action on the hair free from hormonal action, comprising one or both of a component of a vetiver oil and a component of a camellia oil, or further obtained by blending them with preferably a vasodilator for peripheral blood vessel of skin. CONSTITUTION:A hair tonic comprising 4,8-dimethyl-2-isopropylidene-1,2,3a,4, 5,6-hexahydro-azulenone (6) shown by the formula I and/or 3,6,8,8-tetramethyl-1,2, 4,7,8,8a-hexahydroazulenone-(4) shown by the formula II, or obtained by blending them with vasodilator for peripheral blood vessel of skin (preferably one or more of carpronium chloride, vitamin E nicotinate, benzyl nicotinate). Preferably the amount of the compounds is about 0.01-2wt% based on the hair tonic, and the amount of the vasidilator is about 0.01-2wt% based on the hair tonic, and the gether with the vasodilator for peripheral blood vessel of skin increases the effect of the compounds synergistically. |
