PURPOSE:To fit an explosion-proof frame to a picture tube easily and precisely by pressing a rim band to a panel side wall through a cushioning tape stuck to the opposite face to the panel and tightening a tension bank on the rim band. CONSTITUTION:A cushioning tape 12 is previously stuck on the panel 2 side face of a rim band 13 with an adhesive agent 10. Next, when the rim band 13 is to be fit to a panel side wall section 2-1, the protective film 7 of an adhesive agent layer 8 is removed and the rim band is pressed to the panel and held temporarily. Then, a tension band 6 is fixed over the rim band 13 by welding. etc. At this time, an excess of the adhesive agent layer 8, 9 flows from the cushioning tape into a space surrounded by the rim band 13 and the panel side wall section 2-1 to be firmly filled, thus improving the explosion-proof feature. Thereby, an explosion-proof frame comprised of the cushioning tape, rim band and tension band can be fit easily and precisely. |
