<p>PURPOSE:To perform proper tensile strength control, by using a hydraulic cylinder, pressure gauge, and pressure relay in combination. CONSTITUTION:When a roll 7 is pressed up by the tensile strength of a wire rope 3, a coupling roll 10 coupled with it generates upward force on the cylinder 11 and sealed oil 15 is compressed by a piston 14. The pressure to this oil 15 is equal pressure based upon the Pascal's principle and transmitted to the pressure gauge 12 and pressure relay 13. A numeral indicated on the pressure gauge 12 is read to know the tensile strength operating on the rope 3, and an auxiliary relay incorporated in the starting and stopping circuit of the prime mover of a take-up device is put in operation by the output of the pressure relay 13 to control the tensile strength of the cable.</p> |
