The invention concerns an arrangement for a cutting tool for cutting of sheet or web material, preferably packaging foil, comprising a handle 1 and a knife blade 2 which can project out from this against the action of a spring, such as a hook, with an edge 15 arranged on the side of the knife blade 2 facing the cutting direction 1. What is new is that the knife blade 2, which during the cutting operation is designed to assume a slanted position in relation to the plane of the work material, has two edges 14, 15, namely a crosswise chisel-like edge 14 with a length corresponding to the thickness of the knife blade 2 and forming its front end, and an edge 15 separate from the first edge and arranged along the edge of the knife blade 2 slanting forward in the cutting direction, and the knife blade 2 at the crosswise edge 14 has a crosswise surface 17, narrowing in essentially planar fashion from the crosswise edge, bounded by the slanting surface or surfaces which run out toward the lengthwise edge. <IMAGE> |
