PURPOSE:To enhance the fixability of a toner image, by providing a hydrophilic image receiving layer based on a pigment and a binder and having potassium ferricyanide and ammonium phosphate added thereto on a support. CONSTITUTION:Proper amounts of a pigment, potassium ferricyanide and ammonium phosphate are added to a binder such as a mixture of hydrophylic resin and ionomer resin and the obtained mixture is added to water to form an aqueous solution or an aqueous dispersion which is, in turn, applied onto a substrate such as a plastic film, a metal foil or paper with high wet strength. After drying, an image receiving layer with adhesion amount of 5-15g/m<2> as solid components to obtain a direct drawing type planographic printing base plate. In addition, according to necessity, a water resistant intermediate layer can be provided between the support and the image receiving layer or a back coat layer can be provided to the back surface of the support. |
