FOUNDRY BINDER COMPOSITION

This invention is directed to foundry compositions employing certain binders that are capable of being cured at normal room temperatures. The foundry compositions are capable of being cured at normal room temperatures by a gaseous curing agent or an acidic catalyst incorporated into the binder. The fulvenes employed according to this invention are represented by the formula. Each R1 and R2 individually is hydrogen or a hydrocarbon containing 1 to 10 carbon atoms or a furyl group are interconnected and together with the carbon atom to which they are connected form a cycloaliphatic ring.
