PURPOSE:To prepare the titled bait usable easily by anybody and having improved effect of fishing, by compounding a compound bait for fishing with a highly water-absorbing polymer which is a water-insoluble resin having crosslinked structure and capable of absorbing more than specific amount of water. CONSTITUTION:A highly water-absorbing resin is added to a compound bait composed of a fish-attracting component comprising pulverized fish, shellfish, animal or vegetable, its dried powder, or its pasty mixture, and if necessary a binder, an inorganic components, an antiseptic, etc. The resin is a water- insoluble resin having a crosslinked structure, e.g. modified polyvinyl alcohol, self-crosslinked acrylic acid alkali metal salt polymer, etc. which may be dispersed with the binder of the compound bait. The water absorptivity of the resin is >=5 times its own weight. The amount of the water-absorbing resin added to the compound bait depends upon the water-absorption of the resin, however, it is preferable to add >= about 0.05wt% of the resin in terms of dry weight. |
