<p>PURPOSE:To prevent automatic paper feeding and manual paper feeding from being carried out simultaneously by projecting a stopper in front of a manual insertion roll when a paper feed roll is in operation during the automatic paper feeding. CONSTITUTION:Titled paper feeder consists of the paper feed roll 21 arranged behind a manual insertion sensor 8, an arm 25 which is supported on a pivot 22 and has the stopper 23 at one end and the paper feed roll 24 for automatic feeding at the other end, and a solenoid 26. In automatic paper feeding mode, the solenoid 26 is driven to draw the other end of the arm 25 toward a paper feed cassette 6 and the paper feed roll 24 is pressed against the uppermost copying paper in the cassette 6, so the form 27 is sent to a register roll 10 by the rotation of the paper feed roll 24. At this time, the entry of a manually inserted form into a paper feed passage is inhibited by the stopper 23 which projects into the paper feed passage, so the manual paper feeding is not allowed.</p> |
