PURPOSE:To extract at a high speed the periodical component included in the input information, by superposing a signal having its prescribed amplitude value changing periodically upon the input information such as the electric signal, the image pickup information, etc. CONSTITUTION:An input data f (x, y) is fed to a preprocessing part 1 to obtain a binary coded function for the data f (x, y) with the help of a binary coding part 2. This function is sent to a converting part 3 and converted to obtain F (u, v) as shown by equations (1)-(3). In this case, w=(ux+vy)/N, INT function (function for conversion into an integer) is satisfied. In other words, a function which can be expressed by +1 and -1 is used in place of operations of cos and sin. The function F (u, v) thus converted is led to a feature extracting part 4, and the periodical component included in the input f (x, y) is extracted. An example shows A B. Thus it is possible to extract the periodical features at a high speed. |
