<p>PURPOSE:To round a parting edge and to remove injury caused by the parting edge by a method wherein parting points of a thermoplastic resin sheet are put into contact with the cutting side of the cutter higher than the softening temperature of resin and reciprocated in the forward direction of the cutter. CONSTITUTION:Thermoplastic sheets 3, 3' are lapped, mounted on a fixed table 1 and a lifting table 2 that are aligned on the same level and held with a sheet holder 4 dropped. When the cutting edge 5 is dropped in this state, at least the cutting edge 5a of the cutter 5 strikes through the sheet 3 and the push surface 5b at the root of the cutting edge 5a is dropped until the sheets 3, 3' are pressed. At this step high frequency voltage is applied between the cutter 5 and the fixed table 1, the sheets 3, 3' are softened, further, the cutter 5 is dropped until the cutting edge 5a touches the fixed table 1 and before long application of high frequency voltage is stopped.</p> |
