PURPOSE:To prepare drinkable rice gruel, by boiling high-quality rice, drying with cold air flow, washing several times to remove the pasty part from the surface of the rice grain, putting a proper amount of the rice into a can, filling the can with seasoned water, sealing the can, and sterilizing the content at high temperature. CONSTITUTION:High-quality rice such as SASANISHIKI is boiled and dried under air flow at 10-20 deg.C. The rice grains are washed twice or thrice to remove the pasty part from the surface of the grain, and a proper amount of the rice is put into a can. The can is filled with water seasoned with salt, soy, MISO (fermented bean paste), etc., sealed, and sterilized at high temperature to obtain canned gruel. The canned rice gruel drink can be sold at the store or by an automat. Since the rice grains are dispersed without aggregation, the gruel can be taken as a drink having excellent palatability. |
