PURPOSE:To improve the output and fuel consumption by fitting a cylindrical valve body having a suction/exhaust hole rotatably and slidably in axial direction in a circular hole formed in a cylinder head body while crossing with the suction/exhaust hole and displacing the valve body in accordance with the traveling condition. CONSTITUTION:A circular straight hole 2 is made in a cylinder head 1 of sintered ceramic in parallel with a crank shaft CS while cross coupling with suction holes 21, 23, 25, 27 and exhaust holes 22, 24, 26, 28. A cylindrical valve body 3 is inserted rotatably and slidably in axial direction in said hole 2. While suction/exhaust holes 41-44 conducting between the suction/exhaust holes 21- 28 and each cylinder S1-S4 are formed in the cylinder head 1 and suction/exhaust holes 31, 33, 35, 37 coupling between the suction/exhaust holes 21-28 and suction/exhaust holes 41-44 in predetermined rotary angle range are formed in the valve body 3. Said valve body 3 is rotated by a crank shaft CS through a timing belt 4A while axially displaced by a drive mechanism 8. |
