PURPOSE:To obtain a stepless mechanical transmission unit with a high degree of transmission efficiency and stable transmission ratios, by steplessly changing the effective diameter which is given by each sprocket block, in accordance with the relative rotation between a guide plate and an actuating plate. CONSTITUTION:In the case of changing the rotational ratio, pins 51 move in inclined holes 33 on the side of actuating plates 30 when shifters 50 are moved, and therefore, the cylindrical parts 31 of the actuating plates 30 are rotated relatively to the cylindrical parts 23 of guide plates 20. By this relative rotation, the positions where radial elongated holes 22 in the guide plates 20 are communicated with arcuated elongated holes 32 in the actuating plates 30 are shifted with respect to the radial direction of the guide plate 20. Thereby, guide rollers 49 disposed in both communicating positions are forcedly moved so that sprockets 40 integrally incorporated therewith and as well sprocket blocks 43 change their positions, thereby, the diameters given by the sprocket blocks 43 are changed. |
