DOOR BLADE FOR A HINGED CEILING DOOR OR ROLLING DOOR

A door blade for a hinged ceiling door or rolling door is comprised of two sheet metal envelopes enclosing a cavity filled with insulating foam. On the long sides of the door blade there are provided jaw-shaped articulation elements (5, 6), formed with a molding corresponding to the sheet metal envelopes. To prevent any thermal bridge between the inner sheet metal envelope and the outer sheet metal envelope there are provided slots (9) on the wide sides formed by the inner sheet metal envelope quite close to the two articulation elements. For stability purposes, the slots (9) are capped by narrow cross-bars (11). They are further delimited by U-shaped superposed uprights (12) which are folded back towards the cavity and having on the cavity-side at the bending root notches (15) which are parallel to the slot. During the manufacturing process of such a door blade, not only are the two above-mentioned notches (15) made on the inner sheet metal envelope, but also another notch (16) is arranged in the middle of the cavity side, said notch being forced in by a slot tool to obtain the slot, the uprights (12) being folded back about the two other slots towards the cavity.
