Shopping trolleys which can be pushed one inside the other have at their rear basket end a folding basket section which can be pivoted into the inside of the basket. These folding basket sections tend to clatter when moving shopping trolleys over uneven ground or in the train configuration. The invention proposes a shopping trolley (1) whose folding basket section (7) has in its lower region (8), preferably at the two corners (9), shock absorbers (13) which are attached in such a way that they rest against the basket (3) of the shopping trolley (1) when the folding basket section (7) is located in the position of rest and their distance from one another is kept such that they rest on the edge (4) of the upper side wall of that basket (3) of a shopping trolley (1) which is pushed from backwards into the aforesaid shopping trolley (1) for the purpose of forming a train. The shock absorbers (13) prevent the folding basket section (7) from clattering both when an individual shopping trolley (1) is being pushed and also when a train of several shopping trolleys (1) is being moved. <IMAGE>
