COOLING DEVICE OF INTERNAL-COMBUSTION ENGINE FOR AUTOMOBILE

PURPOSE:To shorten the warming-up time of an engine by providing a valve mechanism in a path for introducing produced steam to a radiator section to close the path until pressure or temperature of the steam reaches a predetermined value. CONSTITUTION:Cooling medium liquefied in a radiator 4 section is passed through a path 9 by a pump 8 and sprayed from a nozzle 11 provided above the outer wall of a combustion chamber to be applied to a wick 3. On the other hand, the unvaporized and liquefied cooling medium accumulated on the bottom of the outer wall 1 of a cylinder is passed through a path 13 and returned to the downstream portion of the radiator 4. A motor fan 5 and the pump 8 are controlled through a control circuit 6 by a pressure sensor 7 adjacent a space 12 of a cooling chamber. A valve mechanism 14 is additionally provided in a path 10 for introducing steam in said space 12 to the radiator 4 to close the path 10 until pressure or temperature of the steam reaches a predetermined value. Thus, the steam can be enclosed within said space 12 until a required time elapses.
