The office desk has a desk top (2), in which a lateral border edge forms a right angle with the rear border edge. The rear border edge is angled at an obtuse angle and its angled part likewise forms a right angle with the other lateral border edge. The front border edge of the table top (2) extends in arcuate or curved form between the front ends of the lateral border edges. A visual display unit can be set up in an ergonometrically favourable position for the user on the angled part of the desk. The desk has panel-type side parts (3, 4a, 4b) which can project upwards over the working surface (2). <IMAGE>
