The invention relates to a device for pulling single crystals from a molten mass by means of a pulling rod (3), which is arranged in an intermediate socket (13), is connected to the latter and can be rotated by means of a drive (17) around the latter. The pulling rod (3) and the intermediate socket (13) are borne by a threaded spindle (23), by means of which the pulling rod (3) can be lifted during the pulling stroke by means of a pulling stroke drive (45). The threaded spindle (23) is secured during the pulling stroke against autorotation and can be rotated around its own axis for quick positioning by means of a drive (35), the movements of the threaded spindle having no effect on the rotation of the pulling rod. The intermediate socket (13) can be rotated with the pulling rod (3) during the pulling stroke by means of a rotational drive (17) which is positioned on the intermediate socket (13), is arranged concentrically with respect to the latter and is secured against self-rotation.
