It may be necessary, in the course of forming carried out by means of press tools, to turn the workpieces. For this purpose, a set of grippers engaging in pairs on a workpiece can be rotated about a common pivot (9). To control the rotary motion, at least one gripper is rigidly connected to a swivelling lever (18) which, at a distance from the pivot, has a guide pin (19) for positive guidance in a guide track (17). During this process, the guide pin is guided through 180 angular degrees about the pivot. <IMAGE>
