The invention relates to an apparatus for deburring shaped parts of elastic material and for removing paint coatings on individual parts, having a device for accommodating the parts, a device for embrittling the parts by means of a cryogenic fluid, and a centrifugal wheel. So that relatively large, bulky and/or fragile shaped parts can be completely deburred or completely stripped of paint with little scrap, it is proposed that the device for accommodating the shaped parts be designed as a transport means which conveys continuously or cyclically and to which the parts can be fastened individually via supporting members. In this arrangement, the transport means is mounted in guide devices which are arranged at a distance around the centrifugal wheel. In this way, the shaped parts can be moved virtually through the entire blasting area of the centrifugal wheel.
