The invention relates to a device for the transfer of feed bobbins to the work stations, especially on automatic winding machines, on which the feed bobbins, before being transferred, are adjusted in an oriented manner in an intermediate position on a base, to which they are guided from a conveyor or from a feed-bobbin magazine. The object of the invention is to provide a transfer device which takes up little space, functions reliably, can be used, without changes, for all types of feed bobbins, and is suitable for all winding operations, both manual and automatic. According to the invention, the transfer device has a rotatable cop creel equipped with at least one arm which has the range from an intermediate position to the work station of the feed bobbin and on which is arranged, by means of a guide shaft guided in a bush at the end of the arm, at least one transfer mandrel which is oriented longitudinally with an axis of the feed-bobbin tube in the intermediate position, and a clamp movable relative to the mandrel and having an actuating shaft is arranged opposite the mandrel, and the guide shaft is assigned a step-up gear for pivoting the transfer mandrel relative to the arm of the rotatable cop creel.
