PURPOSE:To improve the movement of cake and to decrease the moisture of the dehydrated cake by providing notches in a part of screw blade, and proviving scrapers facing the rotating loci of the notches on the inside surface of an outside cylinder. CONSTITUTION:Sluge is supplied into a horizontal outside cylinder 1 disposed with many filtrate discharging holes 2 through a supply port 3 thereof, and is dehydrated between said cylinder and a screw 5. The cake is removed through a discharge port 4. The screw 5 consists of a hollow screw shaft 6 and screw blade 7 mouned on the peripheral surface thereof. A prescribed number of notches 8 are provided at every prescribed pitch to the blade 7, and scrapers 9 facing the locating loci of at least one notche 8 are provided on the inside surface of the outside cylinder. The scrapers 9 are intersected orthogonally with the cylinder 1 and the angle between the same and the blade 7 is set at 65-75 deg.. The phenomenon that the cake rotates integrally with the screw 5 and fails to move is thus prevented. |
