PURPOSE:To securely stack sheets conveyed, by providing a sheet movement stopper and an engaging member which is located in such a position that the distance between a rotary member and the position is smaller than the length of the sheets in the direction of its being delivered in. CONSTITUTION:When a sheet P has reached a rotary member 9, the front edge of the sheet is bitten in and pushed on the large-diameter part of the rotary member. The rear edge of the sheet P is brought into contact with the peripheral surface of the large-diameter part of the rotary member 9 and moved toward a return passage 7 and delivered in until the rear edge of the sheet comes into contact with an engaging member 10. Since the distance L between the engaging member 10 and the rotary member 9 is smaller than the length of the shortest sheets to be stacked, a V-shaped opening is certainly defined over the rotary member and the sheets already stacked. For that reason, even if sheets different in length are brought by conveyance in a mixed state, the edges of the sheets do not interfere with those of sheets already stacked. As a result, the sheets are neatly stacked. |
