PURPOSE:To provide the titled composition exhibiting excellent synergistic effect for the control of spider mites, by using a macrolide antibiotic substance such as B-41-group antibiotic substance in combination with an organotin miticide as active components, thereby improving the durability of the agent compared with the separate use of each component. CONSTITUTION:The objective miticide is composed of (A) 1pt.wt. of one or more macrolide antibiotic substances selected from the B-41-group antibiotic of formula I (R1 is H, OH, etc.; R2 is H, etc.; R3 is CH3, C2H5, etc.; R4 is CH3, etc.; R5 is OH or OCH3) or formula II, etc., the C-076-group antibiotic of formula III, and the 22, 23-dihydro-C-076-group derivative, capable of drastically reducing the density of spider mite immediately after scattering, and (B) 30-3pts.wt. of an organotin-type miticide such as tricyclohexyltin hydroxide of formula IVhaving high activity against the hatched larva when applied to the egg rather than applied to the imago, and having stable and residual activity. |
