<p>PURPOSE:To correct exactly magnification by a simple constitution, by providing a magnification correcting value determining circuit, deriving a magnification correcting value, and recogizing a character by a a processor by use of this correcting value. CONSTITUTION:The whole is controlled by a microprocessor MPU5 of a character recognizing device, and a picture signal of a business form sent from a character recognizing program storage part 6, a mechanism part controlling circuit 8 and a business form reading part 11 is binary-coded by a binary-coding circuit 10. This binary-coded picture signal is stored in a picture memory 9, a character, etc. on the business form are scanned optically by a business form reading part 11, and the picture signal is stored in the memory 9. A magnification correcting value determining circuit 12 is provided on this character recognizing device, and it is connected to the MPU5 and the business form reading part 11. Subsequently, a magnification correcting value is derived from the correcting value determining circuit 12, a character is recgonized by the MPU5 by use of its correcting value, the whole constitution is simplified, and also magnification is corrected exactly.</p> |
