<p>PURPOSE:To provide possibility of refilling the sheets, with the sheets feed cassette held in the condition as fitted in the copying machine's body, by installing a sheet sensing lever which turns in the direction as separating from the bottom plate, being interlocked with the opening action of the upper lid. CONSTITUTION:A feeler 25 to sense if any sheets exist on the bottom plate 2 and an actuator 26 to actuate a sensor S installed on the copying machine side are mounted on a shaft 24, which is situated a little ahead the front edge of a cover 5 and borne rotatably by the two side plates of a container 1. When the cover 5 is opened and its front edge depresses the top A of said feeler 25, the actuator 26 does not block the beam from the sensor S. Accordingly, the condition of the cover 5 is known, and if the container 1 is drawn off from the copying machine's body, the actuator 26 comes off without interference with the sensor S.</p> |
