<p>PURPOSE:To facilitate check or takeout of a fam plate by such a construction that a roller couple, guide plate couple, etc., which pinches the path for sheets, is released greatly when a paper clog has occurred. CONSTITUTION:When a paper clog has occurred between guide plates 11-1 and 11-2 or near a couple of transport rollers 4-1, 5 located farther, first a paper feed cassette 1-1 is taken out of the machine body and lifted in the direction as shown by arrow against the force of a spring 8-4 by holding the right end of a lift lever 8-1, so as to allow a boss 8-5 to move along the edge of a set lever 9-1, which is being pressed to said boss 8-5 by a spring 9-2, to be fitted in a notch and detained there. As a result, a unit 6-1 rotates clockwise round a shaft 7-1 to open the space between the guide plates 11-1 and 11-2, and a feed roller 3-1 will separates from a separating roller 3-2.
