PROCESS FOR THE MANUFACTURE OF A STITCHED-DOWN SHOE

A thread-lasted learning-to-walk shoe comprises an upper (2) and a shoe bottom (1). The upper is provided with an outwardly directed border and the bottom is provided with prefabricated seam holes. The upper is sewn directly to the shoe bottom by an approximately vertical seam which passes through the seam holes and the border of the upper and the shoe bottom has an upwardly curved tip (6) at the toe prior to its being joined to the upper. In a method of producing the shoe, the upper is cut to size in accordance with the shoe bottom and is sewn directly to the latter without any bending thereof.
